  1. Bucs

2015 Tampa Bay Buccaneers schedule

Week 1: vs. Titans, Sept. 13

Quarterbacks taken 1-2 in the draft have never faced off in their NFL debut, but the Bucs' Jameis Winston and Titans' Marcus Mariota will do just that. Tampa Bay is 2-8 all-time vs. Tennessee, though the Bucs won the last meeting in Tampa in 2007.

Week 2: at Saints, Sept. 20

New Orleans has beaten the Bucs in seven straight meetings — a win here would match the Jets for longest active streak by any Bucs opponent. Four of the past six losses to the Saints have been by a touchdown or less, including both last season.

Week 3: at Texans, Sept. 27

Houston is a rare NFL city where the Bucs never have won — 0-4 against the Oilers there and 0-1 against the Texans. Only other current ones? Buffalo (0-1) and Jacksonville (0-3). They've never beaten the Jets on the road, but are 1-7 at the Giants.

Week 4: vs. Panthers, Oct. 4

From Week 2 to Week 14, the Bucs have an odd pattern — two games on the road, two at home, two on the road, continuing for 12 weeks. Carolina won both games last year, but by only six and three points. Mike Alstott will be inducted into the Bucs' Ring of Honor at this game.

Week 5: vs. Jaguars, Oct. 11

Tampa Bay beat the Jaguars 20 years ago in Jacksonville's first season, but they Bucs have lost four in a row since. They've played only once in the regular season since 2007 — a humbling 41-14 loss in 2011 when current Bucs offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter was the Jags' coordinator.

Week 7: at Redskins, Oct. 25

Tampa Bay returns to the scene of one of their two wins last season — the Bucs won 27-7, one of only two games in which their QBs didn't throw an interception. Lots of former Bucs in D.C., from Bruce Allen to assistants Raheem Morris and Joe Barry, as well as Dashon Goldson.

Week 8: at Falcons, Nov. 1

Last year, this game saw the Falcons up 56-0 — Matt Ryan went 21-of-24 for 286 yards and three TDs. The Bucs must hope having former Falcons offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter on their side this time can change the outcome.

Week 9: vs. Giants, Nov. 8

Another lopsided series — the Giants have won the past four meetings, though one in the past five years. This opens a stretch of three straight games against NFC East opponents, with perhaps the easiest of the three.

Week 10: vs. Cowboys, Nov. 15

Dallas has an 11-3 all-time mark against the Bucs, but they're just 3-2 in Tampa. It's a reunion between Lovie Smith and his former Bucs colleague, Rod Marinelli. The Bucs signed three Cowboys defenders this spring in LB Bruce Carter, DT Henry Melton and DB Sterling Moore.

Week 11: at Eagles, Nov. 22

Tampa Bay plays the Eagles for the third time in four years — they've been back twice since they closed Veterans Stadium by winning the 2002 NFC Championship. Eagles coach Chip Kelly was awfully close to becoming the Bucs' coach in January 2012.

Week 12: at Colts, Nov. 29

Andrew Luck is entering his fourth NFL season, and when he faces the Bucs, he will have played all 31 other NFL teams. Tampa Bay closes out a stretch of four NFC South opponents in five weeks for the Colts, who lost in Tampa in 2011 on the way to a 2-14 record.

Week 13: vs. Falcons, Dec. 6

The second lap around the NFC South takes place in the final five weeks of the season — their final two division losses last season were by two and three points. This is the Ring of Honor game for former Bucs quarterback Doug Williams as well.

Week 14: vs. Saints, Dec. 13

By virtue of playing the Bucs 19 times, Drew Brees has the most career TD passes against the Bucs (41) of any active QB. Nobody else is close — the next-highest is Matt Ryan with 19, then Tony Romo (11) and Cam Newton (10).

Week 15: at Rams, Dec. 17

Nasty turnaround, with a road game Thursday after a Sunday, and the Bucs' longest flight of the season at that. Last year, a Thursday road game after a Sunday turned into a 56-14 loss for the Bucs in Atlanta. The Rams have beaten the Bucs three years in a row.

Week 16: vs. Bears, Dec. 27

Another reunion for Lovie Smith and the Bears, who beat him 21-13 in Chicago last year. He's not the only former Bear circling this one, as CB Tim Jennings, S Major Wright, DT Henry Melton and S Chris Conte get a shot at their old team as well.

Week 17: at Panthers, Jan. 3

The Bucs don't get to play much in January lately — they're 1-5 in the month since winning a Super Bowl in January 2003. The Bucs have faced a division rival in Week 17 six years in a row, but have never ended a season against the Panthers.
