TAMPA — Bucs QB Jameis Winston reportedly has been fined $12,154 for his role in a sideline altercation against the Saints that led to WR Mike Evans being suspended for Sunday's game against the Jets.

The fine, reported Thursday by ESPN, matches the NFL's schedule for a first offense for unsportsmanlike conduct against an opponent.

Winston was out of the game and on the sideline in the second half Sunday because of his right shoulder injury. He walked onto the field during a dead-ball in the third quarter and poked Saints CB Marshon Lattimore in the back of the helmet, which led to Lattimore shoving Winston and Evans blindsiding Lattimore with a hit from behind.

Winston, who is sitting out the next two games to allow his shoulder to heal, apologized for his actions Wednesday and said a fine was "probably" coming. The league suspended Evans on Monday.

Injury update

The Bucs practiced again without both starting offensive tackles and both starting defensive ends, setting up major potential depth challenges for the Jets game.

LT Donovan Smith (knee) and RT Demar Dotson (hamstring) haven't practiced this week, nor has DE Robert Ayers (ankle/calf). DE Will Gholston will miss the game with a neck injury.

The Bucs are last in the league in sacks with eight in their eight games.

The team did have CB Brent Grimes (shoulder) upgraded to full participation. CB Robert McClain was limited by a hamstring problem.
