Former Buc and current Jet Austin Seferian-Jenkins was suspended Wednesday without pay by the NFL for the first two games of the season for violating its substance-abuse policy.
He was arrested in September in Tampa while with the Bucs on suspicion of driving under the influence. The tight end was cut the same day and claimed off waivers by the Jets. Seferian-Jenkins pleaded no contest last month to a reduced charge of reckless driving.
Seferian-Jenkins also was arrested in 2013 in Washington on a DUI charge, and his arrest last year also included a charge for violating a court-ordered Ignition Interlock Device restriction stemming from that previous arrest.
