Hopes are high in Tampa Bay that the Bucs are on the verge of ending their playoff drought.

But that's not the way the nation's gambling capital sees the 2017 NFL season unfolding.

CG Technology, a sports book operator in Las Vegas, released lines Wednesday for every game this season (excluding Week 17 games, which are difficult to project because team strategy varies based on playoff seeding), and the Bucs are favorites in only five games.

Tampa Bay is favored in Week 2 vs. the Bears (-7), Week 4 vs. the Giants (-2.5), Week 8 vs. the Panthers (-2.5), Week 10 vs. the Jets (-8) and Week 14 vs. the Lions (-3). All are home games.

The Patriots, favorites in every game, are favored over the Bucs by only three points in the teams' Week 5 Thursday Night Football matchup. Tampa Bay faces the longest odds in Week 12 against the Falcons (+6.5) and in Week 13 against the Packers (+7).
