Admiral Farragut football coach Ryan Hearn has been suspended for one game by the school for a violation of department policy. First-year athletic director Larry Antonucci confirmed the suspension on Wednesday afternoon but declined to offer more details."We felt this was the necessary action to take," Antonucci said. "Ryan will rejoin the team on Sunday morning and continue his regular duties."Antonucci said he will be the interim head coach Friday night when Admiral Farragut opens the regular season at Carrollwood Day. Chris Carothers will be the offensive coordinator and call plays. Robin Williams will be the defensive coordinator. "I'll basically make sure the buses show up and make sure things are run smoothly once we get there," Antonucci said. "Those guys will call the plays and handle the game."Hearn is in his third year as the Blue Jackets' coach. He took over for Buster Davis, who resigned after the spring season of 2013. Hearn is 10-10 in his two seasons. Admiral Farragut played last week at South Sumter in a preseason game and lost 30-20. Hearn was suspended after that game. Calls and text messages to Hearn were not returned on Wednesday.
