DOVER — Durant (4-2, 2-0) rolled over host Strawberry Crest (1-5, 1-1) on Thursday night. Quarterback Erick Davis threw a 65-yard touchdown and had a 59-yard run to set up another score by Kameron Joyce as the Cougars led at one point 24-0. Durant's defense swarmed the Chargers, tallying three sacks, two interceptions from Xavier Walden and two fumble recoveries.
Key drive: On the fourth play of the first drive of the second half for the Cougars, Davis ran to the right sideline and cut back left, taking it to 65 yards to the house.
Play of the game: Durant sophomore Joyce delivered the boom and dragged Charger defenders into the end zone from 6 yards out, making the score 30-7 in the third quarter.
Key stat: Davis ran for 160 yards on 15 carries and one touchdown.
