SEMINOLE — George Campbell scored three touchdowns as the Eagles (6-0, 2-0) rolled to a 38-7 halftime lead en route to a district victory over Seminole (2-4, 0-3). The Warhawks tied it 7-7 in the first quarter after a 44-yard touchdown run by Kendric Staley, but the Eagles scored 31 unanswered points to close out the half. Jake Hudson threw touchdowns to Campbell and Bryce Miller.
Key drive(s): After Seminole tied the score on Staley's run and got the home crowd thinking upset, East Lake answered with a five-play, 80-yard drive capped by a 39-yard touchdown run from Drew Couto to start a surge that put the game out of reach.
Stars of the game: Campbell proved he's an elite athlete, scoring on a catch, 50-yard punt return and 29-yard end-around. Seminole running back Chris Garza-McLean scored on an 80-yard run in the second half as his team tried to keep pace.
