ST. PETERSBURG — Northside Christian had plenty of scoring to go around as six Mustangs found the end zone in a preseason win over visitor Seffner Christian. Four Mustang scores came on the ground and three through the air.

Key drive: After not playing the first half, Mustangs senior Josh Snead went left, shook a couple Crusaders and broke free for a 47-yard score. Northside Christian's first play of the second half set the tone for the rest of the game. Snead gained 90 yards and two touchdowns on just four rushes.

Star of the game: Griffin Alstott had completions to five different Mustang receivers and threw touchdowns to Derrick Wright and DJ Jackson. He finished 9-of-18 for 161 yards and also kicked two extra points and shared kickoff duties.

Stat of the game: Northside Christian allowed just three plays of 20 yards or more and had three sacks. The Crusaders had just 187 yards of offense.

Final word: "Tonight was a great situation, with a lot of guys working hard for playing time. Being able to get the second- and third-teamers in there doing good things. I think the jitters were out there, no question — and they'll see it when they see the tape — but we've got to start a little bit faster." — Northside Christian coach Mike Alstott
