DUNEDIN — Seminole defeated Dunedin 34-6 on Friday to pick up its first victory of the season and first since beating Dixie Hollins 41-24 on Oct. 9 last season. Dunedin appeared to have Seminole stopped on its second drive, with the Warhawks facing third and 20 from Dunedin's 40. Andrew Schaedler completed a 40-yard touchdown pass to Kam Greene to put Seminole up 6-0.Seminole added to its lead late in the half on another third-and-long touchdown pass by Schaedler to Greene for 35 yards to go up 12-0. Dunedin got one more chance before the half but was forced to punt. Punter Tarrell Wymes was unable to handle the snap, but ran for a first down to keep the drive alive. A last second Hail Mary fell incomplete for Dunedin but Seminole got called for a roughing the passer penalty, moving the ball to the Warhawks' 24. The Falcons capitalized on a 24-yard pass by Tyler Palermiti to Micah Williams to cut the lead to 12-6 at halftime.Seminole went to work after halftime though, outscoring the Falcons 20-0 thanks to three touchdowns by Schaedler. Key drive: On their first offensive possession of the second half, the Warhawks drove 57 yards in seven plays, scoring on another third-down pass play, — this one a 36-yarder from Schaedler to Tony Tonova. Stars of the game: Schaedler led the way for Seminole, accounting for all five Warhawk touchdowns. He completed 11 of his 16 attempts for 188 yards and four touchdowns, all of which came on third downs. He also ran for a touchdown. … Austin Henkel also had a strong game out of the backfield, rushing for 95 yards on 16 carries. Schaedler's top targets were Greene (four catches, 79 yards, two TDs) and Tonova (three catches, 80 yards, TD). Stats of the game: Seminole won the turnover battle 3-1 and its defense held Dunedin to just 7 rushing yards and only 109 yards total. … It was Seminole's first road win since a 22-20 victory at Northeast on Oct. 18, 2013.
