Kickoff, TV information announced for Florida State-Boise State opener

The Seminoles will open their season in primetime on a major network.

Florida State’s Aug. 31 season opener against Boise State in Jacksonville will kick off at 7 p.m. on ESPN, the ACC announced Thursday afternoon.

It’ll be the first ever meeting between the two programs.

The ACC has also announced that Miami’s home game against Virginia on Friday, Oct. 11 will start at 8 p.m. It will also be shown on ESPN.

So the first few weeks of the season start like this for the state’s ACC teams:

Aug. 24: Florida vs. Miami (Orlando), 7 p.m. ESPN

Aug. 31: Florida State vs. Boise State (Jacksonville), 7 p.m., ESPN

Sept. 7: Louisiana-Monroe at FSU, 5 p.m., ACC Network; Miami at North Carolina, 8 p.m., ACC Network

Sept. 14: Bethune-Cookman at Miami, 4 p.m., ACC Network; FSU at Virginia, 7:30, ACC Network
