Towson coach Rob Ambrose has the tough task of taking his Football Championship Subdivision team into Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Saturday to face No. 9 Florida.

He isn’t shy about how hard the challenge will be.

“This is one of the best football teams I have ever seen on film,” Ambrose said Monday during the Colonial Athletic Association’s coaches’ teleconference. “These guys will challenge for the College Football Playoff. They’re really, really good.”

Ambrose said the Gators’ skill players are among the best in the nation. He praised UF and quarterback Kyle Trask for not missing a beat after starter Feleipe Franks went down against Kentucky with a season-ending ankle injury. As for UF’s defense?

“One of the best college football defenses in the country, period,” Ambrose said.
