Florida Gators men’s basketball coach Mike White has received a two-year extension that will bring his average annual salary to more than $3 million.

The details of the contract —signed in May — were released Friday by UF.

White’s new deal runs through April 15, 2025 and will pay him an average of $251,065 more each year than under his previous contract. By 2022-23, his salary will reach $3.2 million. That figure last year would have ranked No. 15 nationally, according to USA Today’s database.

The other notable change: If White chooses to leave without cause, he’ll owe UF $250,000 for every year left on his contract. The old deal called for a lump sum of $1 million.
