College football Week 8 viewing guide: Florida Gators won’t be looking past Will Muschamp

The Pac-12 has some interesting games this weekend. Too bad no one will be able to watch one of them. Plus: Times staff predictions for week 8.

Lamest time window: Late. The noon games have upset potential, but the late-night slate is bare.

Noon: South Carolina’s upset of Georgia ensured No. 9 Florida won’t look past Will Muschamp’s Gamecocks this week.

RELATED: Florida Gators probably won’t face South Carolina’s third-string quarterback after all

3:30: Although No. 25 Washington has been a disappointment, the Huskies are still good enough to knock off No. 12 Oregon.

4: The Big 12 is a jumble (aside from Oklahoma at the top), so No. 18 Baylor could be in trouble at Oklahoma State.

6: A top-20 showdown between Utah and Arizona State would be fun to watch. Too bad it’s on the Pac-12 network, so no one will see it.

7:30: Florida State-Wake Forest could be entertaining, but I’m more interested in seeing whether No. 7 Penn State is for real when it faces Jim Harbaugh’s No. 16 Wolverines.

9: Does Nick Saban’s No. 1 Alabama take it easy on former assistant Jeremy Pruitt and the Vols? Probably not.
