Florida, Cal announce home-and-home series

The Gators will host Cal in 2026 and travel there the next year.

The Florida Gators have added another Power Five opponent to their future schedules, announcing a home-and-home series with Cal.

UF will host Cal on Sept. 19, 2026 and travel to Berkeley on Sept. 4, 2027.

The Gators have played only twice before and not since 1980, when UF won 41-13 in the season opener in Tampa. Florida also won the other meeting, a 21-17 victory in 1974.

Here’s a look at UF’s upcoming Power Five series (aside from the annual rivalry with Florida State):

2022: vs. Utah

2023: at Utah

2024: vs. Miami

2025: at Miami

2026: vs. Cal

2027: at Cal

2028: vs. Colorado, at Arizona State

2029: at Colorado

2030: vs. Texas
