Florida State is the No. 4 seed in the East Region of the NCAA Tournament, and Florida is No. 7 in the South, following Sunday’s announcement of the 68-team field. All games will be played in Indiana starting with Thursday’s First Four and ending April 3 and 5 with the Final Four in Indianapolis

FSU (16-6) faces No. 13 seed UNC Greensboro (21-8) in the first round on Saturday. Florida (14-9) plays No. 10 Virginia Tech (15-6) on Friday.

Gonzaga (26-0) is the top overall seed in the tournament and vying to become the first undefeated team to win a national championship since Indiana in 1976.

The other top seeds are Baylor (22-2) in the South, Illinois (23-6) in the Midwest and Michigan (20-4) in the East.

The Seminoles are of seven teams from the ACC to make the tournament. It’s the eighth time FSU has made the NCAA under coach Leonard Hamilton.

The Gators are one of six to represent the SEC. They are making their fourth NCAA appearance under coach Mike White and are the only SEC team to make every NCAA Tournament since 2017. If the Gators advance, they face the Ohio State-Oral Roberts winner.
