The Florida Gators have finally, formally announced an upcoming series with UCF.

UF will host the Knights in 2024 and 2033, the teams announced Tuesday. They’ll play in Orlando at the Bounce House in 2030.

The programs were previously at a standstill over whether they could meet. UCF only wanted to sign home-and-home deals where each program hosts the other once. UF wanted a two-for-one series —two home games, one road game — like what it has with USF.

The dynamic changed in the last year when UCF athletic director Danny White left for Tennessee. And the mindset officially changed with Tuesday’s announcement.

Knights athletic director Terry Mohajir said UCF needed a game in 2024 and had limited options. The Knights then scheduled the Gators and eventually agreed to what Mohajir called a home-and-home series after that.

The Gators have won the two previous meetings (1999, 2006) by a combined score of 100-27.
