Lamest time window: Friday night. Take that evening off but enjoy the rest of our last full weekend.

Friday

Noon: No. 22 San Diego State and Boise State (CBS) play in a game that doesn’t kick off before bedtime, for a change.

3:30: USF desperately needs a win over UCF (ESPN) to end a rough season on a high note. But monitor No. 4 Cincinnati’s playoff chances at East Carolina (ABC).

7: One of the biggest disappointments, North Carolina, faces No. 24 North Carolina State (ESPN) in a decent prime time game.

Saturday

Noon: No. 4 Ohio State at No. 6 Michigan (FOX) has the gravity the matchup deserves. Florida State at Florida (ESPN) does not.

3:30: If No. 3 Alabama at Auburn (CBS) becomes a blowout, Oregon State’s trip to No. 11 Oregon (ESPN) is the best fallback option.

7: No. 14 Texas A&M at LSU (ESPN) has turned into a fun rivalry.

7:30: The winner of No. 10 Oklahoma at No. 7 Oklahoma State (ABC) remains in the playoff picture.

10:30: No. 13 BYU can clinch back-to-back 10-win seasons for the first time since 2008-09 with a win over USC (ESPN).

Instead of being another part of Ohio State’s elite receiving corps, Jameson Williams transferred to Alabama, where he’s one of three finalists for the Biletnikoff Award as the nation’s top receiver. The potential first-round pick is worth watching in the Iron Bowl.

GameDay breakdown

Is this the year Jim Harbaugh finally beats Ohio State?

The Buckeyes have beaten Michigan every year under Jim Harbaugh, plus the three before he arrived. If the Wolverines are going to have a chance of topping their rival to win the Big Ten East, defensive end Aidan Hutchinson and linebacker David Ojabo (20 combined sacks) will have to rattle Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud and contain explosive running back TreVeyon Henderson. Possible? Sure. But good luck. Ohio State has only been held under 28 points once this season.
