The area’s most prominent sports-talk radio station is set to do its part to address high school senior athletes’ plight.

With some props. A day full of them.

WDAE (95.3-FM and 620-AM) will offer shoutouts for bay area senior student-athletes at 20 minutes past each hour throughout the day Monday. The station is promoting the service with the hashtag #DAE20FOR20.

Parents, coaches and even athletes may submit a shoutout candidate by calling (888) 546-4620, or via text line 82945. Texts must begin with the letters DAE.

A majority of the spring regular season was wiped out by the pandemic, though the Florida High School Athletic Association has indicated it’s continuing to develop solutions that could extend competition through June 30.
