2 Tampa-area players suspended by NFL for violating gambling policy
Tennessee Titans right tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere, a Berkeley Prep alumnus, was suspended for the first six games of the 2023 season for betting on non-NFL sports at the team’s facility.
Blake High alumnus Isaiah Rodgers Sr. is among three players suspended indefinitely. Nicholas Petit-Frere, who graduated from Berkeley Prep, receives a six-game ban.
Zephyrhills High alumnus launching national prep football league
The Prep Super League, which will feature a team in Tampa, is expected to launch next spring.
The Prep Super League would be staged in the spring and feature a Tampa-based team.
