Football: Pinellas Park 48, Dixie Hollins 0

ST. PETERSBURG — Pinellas Park (9-2, 3-1) finished the regular season with a dominating 48-0 victory over Dixie Hollins (2-8, 0-5) on Friday night. By the halftime, the Patriots had a 35-0 lead. With a running clock, they added TDs in the third and fourth quarters. All of their touchdowns came via the rushing attack from five different players.

Key plays: Turnovers on the Rebels' second and third series of the game gave the Patriots short fields, and the score was 20-0 before the end of the first quarter.

Key drives: Pinellas Park set the tone on its opening drives on offense and defense. After stopping Dixie Hollins on the first drive of the game, Pinellas Park took the ball at its 13 and marched down the field in six plays for 5-yard TD.

Play of the game: A 50-yard pass from the Rebels' Trevor Burke to Cody Perdue was the longest play from scrimmage for both teams.

Stars of the game: For the Patriots, Lawrence Toafili ran for two TDs, as did teammate Jalen Ware. Ethan Blanchard carried 10 times for 79 yards and a score, and safety Cody Willoughby snared two interceptions, both of which led to Pinellas Park touchdowns.

Stats of the game: In the first half, the Patriots amassed 252 yards rushing while holding the Rebels to 39 yards of total offense.
