SEMINOLE — Seminole (3-7, 1-3) dominated rival Osceola (2-7, 1-4) on the road in their annual neighborhood rivalry game 33-7 Friday night to close out the season with three wins in five games. Seminole took control in the first half, with Jarrod Briscoe opening the scoring on an 11-yard run. On its next drive, Austin Henkel broke off a 40-yard touchdown run to put the Warhawks up 14-0 in the first quarter. In the second quarter, Briscoe found the end zone again on a 1-yard run to put Seminole up 20-0 at halftime. Seminole continued pouring it on in the third quarter on a 10-yard run by Henkel. Osceola got on the board in the fourth quarter on a 20-yard touchdown pass by Jake Annand to Taveon Strowbridge to cut Seminoles' lead to 26-7. Tony Tonova closed out the scoring for Seminole on a 3-yard quarterback keeper. Key play: Osceola drove past midfield on its opening drive to the Warhawks 44. On fourth down, the Warriors went for it, and Reese Wyatt was tackled for a 6-yard loss at the 50, setting Seminole up with prime field position.Key drive: Seminole took over, and on the second play Tonova broke off a 29-yard run to the Warriors 22. Four- and 8-yard runs by Kameron Green followed to set up Briscoe's 11-yard touchdown run. Stars of the game: Henkel led the way for Seminole with seven rushes for 210 yards and two touchdowns. Jarrod Briscoe had five carries for 33 yards and two touchdowns as well for Seminole. Tonova struggled in the passing game, completing 1 of 5 for 12 yards and two interceptions, but he ran for 67 yards on eight carries with a touchdown. Osceola's best play came from the defensive side. Jorge Diaz had a fumble recovery and Liam Gangemi had an interception.Stats of the game: Seminole's defense limited Osceola to just 53 total yards. Henkel doubled the Warriors offense by himself. The teams combined for 3-of-9 passing.
