Lightning right wing Nikita Kucherov was named the NHL’s No. 1 star for the week ending on Sunday.
Kucherov had three goals and seven assists for 10 points as the Lightning beat the Flames, Stars and Canadiens.
Kucherov had a goal and three assists in a 6-3 win over the Flames on Tuesday, then matched that performance two nights later in a 6-0 win over the Stars. It was the second time this season he had posted four or more points in consecutive games. No player in franchise history has done it even once.
Kucherov capped the week with a goal and an assist in a 3-0 win over the Canadiens on Saturday.
Blues right wing Vladimir Tarasenko, who had four goals and six assists in four games, was the No. 2 star. The Penguins’ Sidney Crosby — two goals and eight assists in four games — was No. 3.
