TAMPA — The Lightning on Wednesday released their roster and schedule for their annual NHL Prospect Showcase Sept. 18-21 at AdventHealth Center Ice in Wesley Chapel.
Prospects from the Lightning, Carolina Hurricanes, Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators will participate in the four-day event. Each team will play every other opponent once. Prospects include players on entry-level or less contracts who are 24 or younger and have fewer than 20 games of NHL experience.
Lightning prospects who will participate include forwards Gabriel Fortier (2018 second-round pick), Jack Finley (2020 second-round pick), Gage Goncalves (2020 second-round pick), Cameron MacDonald (2021 fifth-round pick) and Niko Huuhtanen (2021 seventh-round pick), and defenseman Roman Schmidt (2021 third-round pick).
The event is open to the public. The games will be streamed live at TampaBayLightning.com.
