Lightning announce 2022 preseason schedule

Tampa Bay will play two games each against the Panthers, Hurricanes and Predators beginning on Sept. 27.

TAMPA — Less than a week after the Lightning’s 2021-22 season ended, the team already is preparing for 2022-23.

Wednesday afternoon, the Lightning announced their six-game preseason schedule.

It features two games each against the Hurricanes, Predators and Panthers, with three at Amalie Arena and three on the road. Tampa Bay played the same three teams last preseason (with three games against the Panthers), going 3-4.

All of the games have a 7 p.m. start, with the exception of the finale against Florida, which is scheduled for 4 p.m. The Lightning will have a five-day break between games Sept. 30 at Nashville and Oct. 6 at Florida.

Here is the full schedule:

Sept. 27: at Hurricanes, 7 p.m.

Sept. 28: vs. Hurricanes, 7 p.m.

Sept. 29: vs. Predators, 7 p.m.

Sept. 30: at Predators, 7 p.m.

Oct. 6: at Panthers, 7 p.m.

Oct. 8: vs. Panthers, 4 p.m.
