Lightning sign Philippe Myers to one-year extension

The Lightning have signed defenseman Philippe Myers to a one-year contract extension worth $1.4 million, vice president and general manager Julien BriseBois announced Friday in a news release.

Myers, 25, was acquired, along with forward Grant Mismash, from the Predators in exchange for defenseman Ryan McDonagh in July.

Myers, a 6-foot-5 right-shot defenseman, played in 27 games for Nashville this past season, accumulating a goal, four points and a plus-five rating. He has seven goals, 33 points and 66 penalty minutes played in 142 career NHL games.
