The inaugural St. Pete Pier Run will cap July 4 celebrations with a scenic 4-mile run across the city’s Pier, which opened in July of 2020.
Runners will take off by the dawn’s early light at 6:30 a.m., with walkers starting at 7:30 a.m. on an out-and-back course that begins on the St. Pete Pier, right under the signature Echelman net sculpture. The course then heads south on Bayshore Drive, past Al Lang Stadium and the Dali Museum.
July 4 will mark the Pier’s first anniversary, so the weekend of July 2-4 will include a makers’ market, live local music and other events such as a 40-yard dash-for-charity on Spa Beach and fireworks.
Each runner in the Pier Run will receive a shirt and run bib with a timing chip and a Pier-inspired finisher’s medal. It’s $50 to register at stpeterunfest.org/st-pete-pier-run.
