New Mexico is full of history, culture and amazing outdoor adventures. My Farmington, N.M., adventure started with hiking in the 45,000-acre Bisti Wilderness featuring rolling badlands.

Itís like being transported to another planet. To cool off, try heading to the epic San Juan River to strip some line fly fishing. The San Juan River boasts four species of trout and has over 363 miles of private and public water to fish. Ancient Chaco Canyon is a bucket-list stop.

Walking inside the pre-Columbian civilization ruins is breathtaking. Itís unbelievable to see the quality of engineering and construction of a city built in 900 AD.
