Marc Topkin’s three takeaways from Rays 7-0 win Friday over the Orioles:

* Yandy Diaz has one of the tougher 0-for-16s going, as he continues to hit the ball very hard with, well, nothing to show for it but some cool StatCast numbers. That included a drive to deep center on Friday that Steve Wilkerson caught jumping at the wall.

* Tyler Glasnow is going to have some bad games at some point this season. Even the best pitchers do. But give him credit to this point for not letting the success he is having go to his head, or impact the preparation and intensity he takes to the mound.

* Attendance issues at the Trop are one thing, which columnist John Romano addresses in Sunday’s Times. But to see once vibrant Camden Yards nearly empty on a Friday night, with an announced attendance of 10,034 for a bad and rebuilding team, is a sad sight.
