Marc Topkin’s three takeaways from Rays 6-3 win over D’backs:

* Tuesday’s game brought a rare, and certainly odd, moment, an argument over mound visits. Yep, Arizona manager Torey Lovullo was actually quite fired up in pointing out that Rays catcher Mike Zunino and pitching coach Kyle Snyder’s visits to Chaz Roe should be considered separate.

* Nate Lowe got to the majors because of his bat, his defense at first still a work in progress. That was clear as he was taken out of the game in the seventh with Yandy Diaz replacing him at first in a shuffle that saw Guillermo Heredia go into the game in right, Brandon Lowe move to second and Daniel Robertson to third.

* The look of relief on Kevin Kiermaier’s face told it all as he made a leaping catching on a Carson Kelly liner that clearly was on a higher trajectory that he anticipated. Kiermaier has been his usual top-notch self in the outfield this season but he looked for a second like he got beat on that ball.
