UPDATE, 6:05: Part of the reason Charlie Morton was limited to six innings on Tuesday was the Rays’ plan to being him back on regular rest for Sunday’s series finale in New York. ... Cash said both injured catchers, Michael Perez (oblique) and Mike Zunino (quad) had good days of rehab at the Trop, but there were no updates on their timetables to return. Perez was pegged at 2-3 weeks and Zunino 4-5 when injured late last week. ... Bemboom got the start behind the plate tonight based on lefties being a better matchup with Urena, Cash said.

DEVELOPING: After beating the Marlins 4-0 on Tuesday, the Rays are looking to make it a sweep of the quick two-game set that is part of the annual Citrus Series.
Ryne Stanek will be on the mound for the Rays as the opener tonight, with lefty Jalen Beeks expected to work the bulk of the innings. Beeks last worked May 7, throwing 50 pitches over 3 1/3 innings, allowing a run that ended his scoreless streak at 13 1/3. When Beeks gets in the game could also be dictated by where the Rays are in their batting order as they are playing under NL rules and would prefer, obviously, to have him not bat or at least as little as possible.
With the Marlins starting right-hander Jose Urena, the Rays have their lefties in the lineup in force, including slumping Brandon Lowe, who is 0-for-his-last-13 with 11 strikeouts in the cleanup spot.
