Rays at Padres lineups for Tuesday, with Brendan McKay pitching and hitting

Brendan McKay will be pitching and hitting in the same game for the first time since his college days at Louisville tonight when the Rays take on the Padres.

And McKay, whose two-way ability makes him one of the game’s most interesting rookies, is excited by the opportunity.

The Rays are looking to run their latest winning streak to five games, to win another series and to move to 21 games over .500 as they continue their first series in San Diego since 2004.

Leftfielder Tommy Pham, who said late Monday he plans on staying on the active roster despite a small fracture in his right hand, is not in the lineup. Nor is centerfielder Kevin Kiermiaer, who banged hard into the wall making a leaping catch Monday.
