The Rays 25-man roster for tonight’s AL wild-card is heavy on right-handed hitters, with rookie Mike Brosseau, Yandy Diaz and Daniel Robertson all included as they face an A’s team that is starting lefty Sean Manaea and has four lefty relievers.

Among other interesting decisions, the Rays did not include pinch-runner Johnny Davis, and they did include lefty Blake Snell along with Ryan Yarbrough, giving them two lefty starters who have not been sharp of late that would be used in relief in addition to rookie Colin Poche.

Among those considered and left off the wild-card roster, which can be changed if the Rays win and advance to the next round, were outfielder Guillermo Heredia, infielder Eric Sogard, third catcher Michael Perez, and rookie relievers Pete Fairbanks and Brendan McKay, who could also have served as a pinch-hitter.

The Rays went with 10 pitchers, two catchers, and 13 position players. The starting lineup and comments from manager Kevin Cash on the makeup of the roster will come in a few hours.

Here is the full roster:
