With the first 33,000 tickets for Monday’s Game 3 of the ALDS at the Trop pretty much sold out, the Rays on Friday afternoon put a couple thousand more on sale. Tickets can be purchased online at raysbaseball.com.

The Rays already decided to re-open the upper deck for the postseason, which increased capacity from 25,025 to nearly 33,0000. They will roll up some of the tarps covering the upper portion of the upper deck to add to the ticket inventory and increase capacity to around 35,000, with no plans for any further sales.

If they advance to the next round, the Rays expect to remove all of the tarps and could accommodate more than 40,000.

Sales are also strong for a potential Game 4 on Tuesday, with tickets priced, in conjunction with MLB, at $40-460.

Times for the games are not yet set, though MLB said Monday will an afternoon game with first pitch at either 1:05, 2:05 or 3:35 pending if either NL series is over. Tuesday’s time depends on whether the Yankees-Twins series is over, with either a 4:15 or 8:07 first pitch.
