The Rays are back in action tonight, hosting the Red Sox in the opener of a four-game series, first pitch at 6:40.

Rookie lefty Josh Fleming will start for the Rays, seeking to win his fourth straight since his unexpected call-up. Journeyman lefty Mike Kickham will be on the mound for the Sox, making his first big-league start since 2013.

The Rays on Thursday placed lefty reliever Cody Reed on the 10-day injured list, the result of a sore left pinky that forced him out of the Sept. 5 game. Ryan Sherriff, who had an earlier stint with the Rays, was called back up from the alternate site in Port Charlotte.
