With Saturday’s 4-2 win over the Houston Astros in Game 7 of the American League Championship Series, the Rays will return to the World Series stage for the first time since 2008.
Randy Arozarena, who hit his seventh home run of the postseason— the most by a rookie — was selected as the series MVP.

In the sixth inning, Rays manager Kevin Cash pulled starter Charlie Morton after the Astros put runners on first and third with two outs. Though reliever Nick Anderson got Michael Brantley to ground out to end the inning, Twitter was not a fan of the decision.
I am SHOCKED that Charlie Morton with 65 pitches taken out with 3-0 lead 2 outs in 6th. Am I the only one stunned by this move ?— Dick Vitale (@DickieV) October 18, 2020
I would have kept Morton in the game— andrew mccutchen (@TheCUTCH22) October 18, 2020
The strength of the #Rays is the long staff and the ability to get 10 outs should be in their wheelhouse, yet this time I would have stuck with Morton and try to shorten the number of outs for the pen. Morton was that good. One down, nine more to go to get the 10 outs.— Joel Sherman (@Joelsherman1) October 18, 2020
Charlie Morton earned the right to pitch out or that situation. This is just a selfish move by Cash it’s a look what I can do, move. I hope the #Rays can keep up the momentum... Dam he was dealing— CONSCIOUSFLOWSTATE (@liveyourpeace) October 18, 2020
you don't pull morton from that situation. overmanaging loses games - if the pitcher is dealing, let him do his thing— Matt’s Bats (@MattsBats) October 18, 2020
Morton could've gone the distance.— Tyler Birss (@tybirss) October 18, 2020
Why the hell would Kevin Cash take Charlie Morton out of the game so early? I don’t care if it’s a jam in the 6th and the #Rays bullpen is elite! Give the man a complete game when he’s cruising like that!!!! #ALCS— Theodore Tollefson (@TheodoreTollef1) October 18, 2020
