‘Should’ve left Blake Snell in’: Twitter second guesses Rays' move

Snell had allowed two hits and recorded nine strikeouts through 5.1 innings and the Rays had the lead when he was yanked.

It didn’t take much for the Dodgers to take advantage of a Rays pitching change in the bottom of the sixth inning in Tuesday’s Game 6 of the World Series.

Blake Snell gave up his second hit of the night and was pulled immediately. But that wasn’t the most important thing that happened in the inning.

Mookie Betts hit a double off reliever Nick Anderson, then Austin Barnes scored off a wild pitch that made its way past Mike Zunino behind home plate. An RBI infield single from Corey Seager gave the Dodgers a 2-1 lead over the Rays (who came into the bottom half of the inning with a 1-0 lead thanks to a Randy Arozarena first-inning).
