ST. PETERSBURG — Hours after being inducted into the Sports Club of Tampa Bay Hall of Fame in Ybor City, Angels manager (and former Rays skipper) Joe Maddon leads his club (36-38) into the opener of its three-game series against the Rays tonight at Tropicana Field.

Tampa Bay right-hander Andrew Kittredge will open things on the mound for the hosts (45-31), with lefty Josh Fleming expected to handle a bulk-innings role afterward.

Kittredge failed to make it through the first inning in Tuesday’s 11-inning loss to the Red Sox, recording two outs before being replaced by Ryan Yarbrough. He responded with a scoreless sixth inning in the following night’s 8-2 triumph.
