The Rays open their final series before the All-Star break tonight when they host the Blue Jays.

Lefty Shane McClanahan will start for the Rays. Alex Manoah will start for the Blue Jays, who were rained out Thursday in Baltimore, where he was to start.

The Rays recalled infielder/outfielder Vidal Brujan, who made his debut Wednesday as the 27th man for the doubleheader, then was returned to Triple-A Durham. He was added back to the roster today in place of infielder Mike Brosseau, who was put on the 10-day injured list with a right oblique strain.

Cash said Brosseau was hurt making an awkward throw in the second game of Wednesday’s doubleheader as the oblique “grabbed” a bit and went ahead and finished the game. Cash said they are hoping they caught it in time and it will be a minimal stay.

Cash also said reliever Ryan Thompson, on the injured list with shoulder inflammation, is still feeling some discomfort and will be shut down for 2-3 days and then resume throwing.

Starter Chris Archer (forearm) and reliever Oliver Drake (flexor tendon) threw to hitters in Port Charlotte on Wednesday and likely will do so again before moving to games and a rehab assignment.
