ST. PETERSBURG — The Rays won’t put tickets for their first playoff games on sale to the general public until Sept. 30, but they will have postseason merchandise available starting Thursday at 10 a.m.
T-shirts, caps, pins, pennants, koozies and souvenir baseballs are expected to be on sale at the Rays Republic team store at Tropicana Field (open Monday-Friday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday from 10-4), and on thebayrepublic.com.
Tickets will be sold for a potential wild-card game (which the Rays can avoid by winning the American League East) and the best-of-five division series. If Tampa Bay wins the East, it will host Games 1, 2, and 5. The upper deck at Tropicana Field will be reopened for the postseason.
General public sales will start Sept. 30 at 3 p.m. As usual, there will be several presales for season members and Rays Insiders. Anyone signing up for the Rays Insider email newsletter by noon Sept. 28 will be eligible for a presale opportunity; see RaysBaseball.com/Postseason.
Fans who purchase a 2022 traditional season membership will be eligible to buy a 2021 postseason package, which includes tickets for every potential Rays postseason home game; see RaysBaseball.com/SeasonMembership.
