DETROIT — Drew Rasmussen will be on the mound on a steamy Sunday as the Rays face the Tigers seeking a victory that would give them their first series win since the All-Star break.

Rasmussen has pitched OK of late, but efficiency has been an issue.

The Rays have lost three series (to the Royals, Orioles and Guardians) and split one (Blue Jays) since the break. Saturday’s frustrating 9-1 loss leaves them needing a win today to avoid another split.

Randy Arozarena and Yandy Diaz are back in the lineup, with David Peralta and Taylor Walls off as the Rays are trying to split up playing time with team off days coming Monday and Thursday.

Right-hander Matt Manning will be on the mound for the Tigers.
