Strikers to hold open tryouts for interested players

Tampa Bay’s pro indoor soccer team will begin play in men’s and women’s divisions in December at the Yuengling Center in Tampa.

The Tampa Bay Strikers of the National Indoor Soccer League will have open tryouts for interested players Sept. 24 at the Cinco Soccer Complex, 5305 E. Henry Ave. in Tampa.

Head coach Martin Gramatica and his staff will be present to evaluate and assess players. Registration and check-in will take place from 2-3 p.m., with tryouts to follow from 3-6.

Attendants must be at least 16 years of age. Players under 18 must have a parent or guardian present who will be required to sign a participation/permission waiver on their behalf. Cost per player is $50 pre-registration online or $75 the day of the event (cash only).

The Strikers are scheduled to begin play in December at the Yuengling Center on USF’s campus, with 10 home games in men’s and women’s divisions, played in a doubleheader format. Season tickets are on sale now.
