One more grisly stat from Florida State’s 45-44 overtime win over Louisiana Monroe:
The Warhawks’ 44 points were the most they’ve ever scored against a Power Five opponent, according to data available on College Football Reference. ULM’s previous high was the 42 it put up on Baylor in 2012.
One of the assistants on that Baylor team? First-year FSU offensive coordinator Kendal Briles.
ULM had been 4-5 against the ACC and almost made it 5-5.
If you’re in a glass-half-full mood, FSU’s 45 points were the most the Seminoles have scored in a game under coach Willie Taggart.
