Cam Akers continues to be a very bright spot in a bad situation. He finished with 248 yards of offense, scored FSU’s final two touchdowns and set a single-game school record with 36 carries.

If you’re expecting FSU’s offensive line to improve, Saturday didn’t inspire any confidence. The unit continued its years-long struggle and saw starting left tackle Jauan Williams get carted into the locker room with a sprained ankle. Coach Willie Taggart didn’t have an update on his status after the game.

It’s not a surprise, but it was interesting to see former FSU coach Jimbo Fisher appear on the Jimbotron as Texas A&M’s coach during highlights of the Aggies’ loss to No. 1 Clemson. He was booed.
