For the first time this season, USF's baseball team has cracked the national rankings.

The Bulls (26-14, 9-6), coming off series wins against UCF and No. 7 East Carolina, are No. 20 in the latest Baseball America weekly poll. USF, winner of five of its last six, currently is third in the American Athletic Conference in terms of league win percentage (.600), though No. 2 ECU (8-4) has played three fewer games.

Bulls pitchers totaled 40 strikeouts in the three-game series against UCF, in which USF fell to the Knights 1-0 on Friday before a 5-4 win Saturday and 4-2 triumph Sunday. The Bulls are tied with Wichita State for the highest team batting average in the AAC (.293), and lead in seven other major offensive categories.
