Services set for former USF, Storm lineman Kenyatta Jones

The first NFL draft pick in USF history passed away June 9 at age 39.

A pair of visitations and a celebration-of-life service for former Bulls OL Kenyatta "Bear" Jones have been scheduled for next week.

Jones, the first USF player ever taken in the NFL draft, passed away June 9 in Colorado of cardiac arrest, according to his mother. He was 39.

The celebration service will be held June 23 at 1 p.m. at First Assembly of God, 1827 NE 14th St. in Ocala.

An Ocala visitation is set for Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at New St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 2251 NW 2nd St., Ocala. A Gainesville visitation will be held Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Springhill Missionary Baptist Church, 9718 120 SE Williston Road, Gainesville.
