A few hours remain to cast your fan ballot for the American Athletic Conference's five-year anniversary team, which will be announced at the league's media day on July 24.

For you procrastinators, a little ballot briefing: Players who appear on it are those who were chosen as all-conference first-team selections at least once, or in some instances, were multiple-time second-team selections.

My media ballot, completed some time ago, featured a write-in function. I applied it liberally.

Former USF jet-sweep extraordinaire Rodney Adams, not among the 11 receivers on the electronic ballot, had his name entered on mine. So did fellow Bulls alumni Cameron Ruff (center), Devin Abraham (safety) and Marvin Kloss (kicker).

In all, I voted a dozen USF guys on the team, with no real agonizing. Some could raise an eyebrow at my omission of former Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater, but the Cardinals were in the league only one season (2013) before bolting for the ACC.

In terms of play in the American, Quinton Flowers and McKenzie Milton have much more expansive bodies of work.

With that, here's my ballot. (Each position is listed with the number of players one could vote for at that spot.)
