Unlike the Biletnikoff Award, which exhibited gross negligence in leaving Bulls WR Tyre McCants off its preseason watch list, the selection committee of another national individual honor evidently has kept close tabs on USF.
Bulls fourth-year junior Mitch Wilcox is on the watch list for the Mackey Award, presented annually to the country's top tight end. A Tarpon Springs High alumnus, Wilcox has made the watch list the last two seasons.
He finished 2017 with 17 catches for 158 yards and two touchdowns, and followed with arguably the best spring of any Bulls offensive player.
