The Obama administration and the reporters who cover it may not always get along. But they put aside their differences once a year for the glam White House Correspondents Dinner.

Stars began arriving for the event about 6 Saturday evening and the dinner was to start about 7:30 p.m. And what a dinner it is. For starters there is terrine of jumbo lump crabmeat, and jicama, mango, pepitas & baby oak salad with house-made buttermilk green goddess dressing. The main course includes smoked paprika rubbed filet, foraged wild mushroom ragout, pancetta and gala apple demi complimented with seared Alaskan Halibut, and mascarpone cheese stone grits, and peeled asparagus and roasted baby bell pepper.
