What’s happening in Tampa Bay sports: Bucs open 2019 season at Raymond James

Plus, the Blue Jays are expected at Tropicana Field and there are plenty of charity runs.

It’s finally time for the Bruce Arians Era to really begin as our Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the the San Francisco 49ers. It seems as if the preseason didn’t provide answers to a lot of Bucs question marks. Still, there’s always hope in openers, and there’s a pregame concert by Tim McGraw along with a halftime encore. The Tampa Bay Rays are scheduled host the Toronto Blue Jays in a series Thursday to Sunday at Tropicana Field this week. However, the games could possibly be affected in the wake of Hurricane Dorian. Fall Stampede: The eighth annual 5K run and 1-mile run/walk features a mascot race, photos with the Chick-fil-A cows and a post-race party with food, games and prizes.
