Festivals

First Friday Dade City: The streets of downtown Dade City come alive with music and festivities from 5 to 9 p.m. June 1. Bring the family or a sweetheart for numerous activities, live entertainment and carriage rides throughout the downtown area. Well-behaved pets on leashes welcome. Stargazing in the Park: Join the Pasco Astronomers group from 8:30 to 10 p.m. June 2 at J.B. Starkey Wilderness Park, 10500 Wilderness Park Blvd., New Port Richey. The group will provide telescopes for viewing, or bring your own. Call (727) 255-3083.

Family

Little Red Riding Hood: The classic fairy tale comes alive when Little Red Riding Hood meets Wolfie and Skunk, a mischievous duo from the woods. Presented by Play'N Around Traveling Children's Theatre at 2 p.m. June 5 at Hudson Regional Library, 8012 Library Road, Hudson. Art events

"Celebrating the Gallery's 20th Birthday" exhibit: The exhibit is on display through Aug. 11 at the Uptown Art Gallery at Brooksville City Hall, 201 Howell Ave., Brooksville. Featuring a potpourri of artwork that ranges from fun to serious pieces, landscapes to impressionism, in a variety of mediums. Call (352) 540-3810.

PHSC Summer Art Show: The annual summer exhibit continues through Aug. 10 at Pasco-Hernando State College Rao Musunuru, M.D., Art Gallery, 10230 Ridge Road, New Port Richey. Reflections: This is a collection of local artists' works and craft items on display now through Sept. 27 at the West Pasco Art Guild, 6296 Jefferson St., New Port Richey.
